The Blogging... It's Working!

I was curious to see a notification on social media that Kyle Roderick had mentioned me. I was very pleasantly surprised to see that it's because he took me up on the idea of "...write(ing) more because I think it'd be cool to read the thoughts you're having" from my post on blogging back in December.

From his initial post, appropriately titled Hello World:

After reading Chris Enn’s post and making it a reminder in the Reminders app, I decided to take the plunge on a spot that could be mine online. Of course, infinity mulling over what technology, CMS, hosting, and theme to use became the next hurdle. I get stars in my eyes thinking about how much I might be able to do with it and how hosting it on something like Netlify is the “right” way to start a personal site for me. All the while, avoiding the actual point of the exercise: to have a place online that I can put things that are mine.

So I decided to pivot and follow my friend Chris’s advice: Get something online.
