Inside Disney's Secret Sound Lab with Dallas Taylor
It's incredible what kind of access he's gotten by simply starting a podcast—and doing it really well.
I first heard (get it?) of Dallas Taylor through his podcast, Twenty Thousand Hertz, which explores sounds used in movies, tv, video games, and pop culture. It's a great listen even if you're not a podcast or audio nerd like me.
Taylor launched a YouTube channel earlier this year where he posts videos of his conversations with audio producers that end up on the audio podcast and it's catnip for any behind the scenes geeks.
I really enjoyed the tour of SNL's audio department and when he got to go inside Disney's Sound Lab (both embedded below).
