Stephen Robles Goes Full Time Tech Content Creator
Congratulations to Stephen Robles on quitting his full-time job at Riverside and going all in on being an Apple / tech podcaster and content creator.
His video explains everything you need to know about what he's doing and how to support him as he does this, but I just wanted to note how he started his channel on YouTube four years ago in 2021 at a time when not a lot of people would have said it was a great time to get into Apple and tech podcasts / YouTube channels. There seemed to be enough people doing it already and often times the idea of someone doing yet another tech podcast / YouTube channel was almost mocked.
And yet over time he's carved out a unique niche as a helpful, kind voice in tech advice and commentary, particularly in the Apple community. I've referenced so many of his videos on Mac and iOS like the ultimate dual Mac workflow, why he ditched his iPhone rig for DJI Osmo Pocket 3 camera, 15 must-know Apple TV tips and hidden features, picking the right MacBook, and his smart home tour videos.
But I think the main reason I came across his channel is his explainer videos on using Apple's Shortcuts app. He has a whole Shortcuts community you can join if you want to learn more about automating and running Shortcuts on your Mac, iPhone, or iPad. I still don't use Shortcuts well or understand when / why to reach for them. I'm sure there's so much I could be automating or making simpler in my work and personal tech life.
All the best Stephen as you venture out on your own. It's a wonderful, crazy adventure to run your own business.
