Congrats to Winnipeg based web nerd Matt Wiebe on the news that [he's joining Automattic](https://somadesign.ca/2012/goodbye-soma-hello-automattic/?ref=chrisenns.com), the company behind [WordPress](https://wordpress.org/?ref=chrisenns.com), as a Theme Engineer.

Winnipeg is fast becoming a northern hub for [Automatticians](https://automattic.com/work-with-us/?ref=chrisenns.com), with Matt joining [Ian Stewart](https://iandanielstewart.com/?ref=chrisenns.com) and [Krista Stevens](https://kristastevens.com/?ref=chrisenns.com) on staff at Automattic.

Congrats Matt. I look forward to reading more of your [crotchety theme descriptions](https://somadesign.ca/projects/the-erudite/?ref=chrisenns.com).
